Features
PMviz consists of a number of modules to support the primary project management disciplines:
Resource Management
One of the many challenges of running large programmes or portfolios is ensuring sufficient and appropropriate resources are available when required. PMviz provides a simple solution that allows you to identify where your critical resources are being overloaded, or where there are insufficient resources to meet project demand.
Meetings Management
Meetings clearly play an very important role in the management of any programme/portfolio, but their value is diminished if the output is not captured. This is easy enough to do for one instance of a meeting, but less so on a larger scale. PMviz provides the answer.
Issue Management
One of the fundamental requirements of any good programme or projects management methodology is the facility to record, manage and report issues. PMviz Issue Management provides visibility across the programme and functionality to encourage proactive management.
Actions Management
One of the key features of PMviz is its ability to allow actions to be allocated to PMviz users for various reasons (e.g. risk mitigation, issues resolution, meeting action) and for them all to be managed centrally.
Risk Management
Programme and project management is really all about managing risks. Trying to stop problems occurring in the first place rather than trying to solve them is a far more productive approach to delivering projects. PMviz provides a central repository for all programme risks, providing visibility across the programme/portfolio e and functionality to encourage proactive management.
Status Reporting
Status Reports are a core feature of PMviz and can be produced very quickly for any part of the programme/portfolio structure. Reports draw in all the data relevant to the 'management level' of the report. Different report types and formats are available and content can be customised.
Dependency Management
PMviz provides a simple solution to managing dependencies between different components of the programme/portfolio. The facility allows one part of the structure to place a dependency on a milestone belonging to another part of the structure. Simple, but effective.
Plan on a Page
PMviz milestones can be presented on a Gantt timeline as a 'plan on a page' - or PoaP. Milestones can either be displayed individually or as pairs to create 'tasks'. These views of the schedule are a powerful way of presenting progress and status to manegement and other stakeholders.
Milestone Management
PMviz is not a planning tool, but it allows the key output of the planning process to be captured - milestones. It provides tight management controls and reporting to be placed around them to ensure all plan changes are properly impact assessed.
